GATHERING
CALL TO WORSHIP
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The Lord makes me lie down in green pastures,
Leads me beside still waters,
restores my life.
Leads me in right paths
for the sake of the Lord’s name.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
For you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil,
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
As long as I live.

OPENING PRAYER
O God, our shepherd, our gate, our lamb:
In the resurrection of your Son you have brought us into your pasture. Guide us to your clear streams, and tame the wolf at our gate; through Christ our Lord. Amen. Alleluia

PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING
Thank you, Lord, for making us yours and caring for us as a good shepherd cares for the sheep. Help us to recognize Jesus in those who are poor and needy, and serve him humbly with what you have given us by serving them.
Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Let us pray for the Church and for the World.
Grant, Almighty God,
that all who confess your name shall be united in your truth,
live together in your love, and reveal your glory in the world.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
Guide the people of this land, and of all the nations,
In the ways of justice and peace;
That we may honor one another and serve the common good.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
Give us all a reverence of the earth as your own creation,
that we may use its resources rightly
in the service of others and to your honor and glory
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
Bless all whose lives are closely linked with ours,
And grant that we may serve Christ in them,
And love one another as Christ loves us.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
Comfort and heal all those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit;
Give them courage and hope in their troubles,
And bring them the joy of your salvation.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
We commend to your mercy all who have died,
That your will for them may be fulfilled;
And we pray that we may share with all your saints
In your eternal kingdom.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer
We offer these prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
