ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
Trust in the Lord and do Good. May the Lord give strength to the people! O taste and see that the Lord is Good! God is our refuge and strength.
OPENING HYMN: “Trust and Obey” #467 UMH
OPENING PRAYER God, there are times in our lives when we feel as if we have fished all night and caught nothing.
We did not receive the bonus or the pay increase, that we expected from our employer. We cannot seem to find a way to pay off our credit card debt.
We are not able to even consider saving money.
We spend sleepless nights worrying about our financial future.
how are we to manage, Lord?
You teach us to manage by placing our trust in you, by changing our habits and by remaining open
to the power of your Holy Spirit.
Today, we pray that we may have the mindset
of generous and thankful givers.
We pray in the name of the one, who embodies generous giving, Jesus Christ. Amen.
