YEAR-END APPEAL
At the Church Council meeting Monday, the Finance Committee reviewed the status of this year’s budget. Due to various items, we are facing a potential deficit of approximately $25,000. Utilities are higher than expected, primarily because of a problem with the solar panels and greater use of the Church facilities. Also, a shortfall in some of the expected fundraisers and new items in the budget contributed to the deficit. The hardest part, though, is the loss of some of our most generous givers.
The Finance Committee made a year-end appeal in the past, and the Congregation made additional gifts to reduce or even eliminate the deficit. The Committee is prayerfully asking again this year to give as generously as you can to help with this problem.
May you have a Blessed Christmas. Love and Peace,
The Finance Committee

Our little pantry at Sparks of Hope is nearly empty, and our shelves are bare. Members of our recovery community rely on your generosity to see them through the hard times. Please drop off nonperishable groceries when Sparks is open, or leave them inside the pantry.
Pecans are freshly harvested halves. Great for holiday baking and gifts. $14
Don't show up empty-handed to a winter gathering; bring a host gift of Fruitcake for $7
